Meetings of the Ottawa Branch are normally held on the last Wednesday of each month.  Members, parents of cadets, and any other interested persons are welcome to attend.   The next regular meeting of the Branch will be held on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at H.M.C.S. Carleton at 1900.

RONA CARDS

In partnership with RONA West Hunt Club Drive and RONA Innes Road the Ottawa Branch will be sending out 5% discount cards to members and parents/guardians to be used for regular purchases at these two locations.  An immediate 5% discount will be applied to your purchase and RONA will make an additional 5% donation to the Ottawa Branch in support of our two cadet corps!  The cards can be used throughout the year.  A big THANK YOU goes out to our corporate sponsors RONA on West Hunt Club Drive and RONA on Innes Road.  If you would like to become a member of the Ottawa Branch and receive your 5% RONA discount card simple send an email with your name and mailing address to info@navyleagueottawa.org or use the form on the opening page of the website.

Fundraising Activities & Events

Fundraising is an integral part of the success of our organisation.  The funds raised through a variety of activities ranging from tag days, auctions, merchandise sales and more supplement the expenses for cross country and international trips, new equipment and boat repair, food for special events, sailing and canoe training courses, band instruments, bus transport to special events and parades, and much more!   Every dollar raised by the Ottawa Branch ensures that our cadets will have the appropriate equipment to enhance their cadet experiences.

Tag Days

Since the Branch lost the income from our weekly bingo event several years ago, the primary source of funding to support our two corps has been Tag Days.  This event requires a huge amount of planning and logistical coordination which is done by dedicated volunteers.  On the day of the event however, we always are in need of additional drivers to take cadets to and from their collection points, which could be almost anywhere in the city.  If you are a cadet parent, and you would like to help out in some way, there is nothing better you can do than to volunteer on Tag Day.  Come early and look for one of the Branch coordinators.  They will provide you with all the information you need to do a great job in support of our young people.
